Welcome to Big Hill Books

I wish I could say my dream was always to own a bookstore. But that isn’t true. Don’t get me wrong. I love books. I just always thought of myself as a lifelong customer, not a bookstore owner.

So how did this plot twist occur? Well, that’s a long story—one better shared in person. Which is to say I look forward to meeting you when Big Hill Books opens to the public in mid-July.

I’m very grateful Bryn Mawr’s first-ever bookstore has created so much anticipation and excitement. If all this positive buzz translates into a thriving business, great! But I hope Big Hill Books, like any vibrant, successful indie bookstore, will be about much more than that. It will be about offering you a welcoming space—meeting space, social space, safe space. I look forward to building this community with you.
